seat to be redone

Hi guys
thouht I ask for your opinion:

I presently use an aftermarket seat, I still have the original one hid away.

I am thinking about having that redone, the metal plate is OK, yet there is one question bothering me. Presently my b … ack hurts after around 100 miles/ 150 km, so the hardness of the foam needs to be changed. Does it need to be harder or softer ?
