race around Australia

Hi guys

I am still fascinated by it and todays research brought up the following site:  amcn.com.au/editorial/lap-map-race-around-australia/
that gives lot of information. I have done some long trips here in Europe, but what all of these guys did is simply outstanding.

Enjoy, but don't try youryselves.

regards,

Holger

Fantastic reading Holger. Thank you!

There is one thing that I picked up on when reading the KZ1300 part - they mention fuel pump problems, and the used model clearly has carburetors in the pictures. The carb models don't have a fuel pump, and definitely mine from the same 1982 year doesn't. I wonder what is the story there.

Hi Stan

I can only imagine that he needed the pump to move the fule from his extra-tanks on the back to the fuel tank on the front. Agreed ?
