Scotch, did you ever get around to making needle valve retainer springs?

Been burning hours researching all topics carb related from Scotch as a learning journey.
Stumbled upon this-
Note to self: Make a jig to manufacture needle-valve retainer springs.
I have 3 brand new kits from various manufacturers, and the keeper springs are total crap...

Their are several items in the "aftermarket" kits that I don't like:
1) The C-clips are GARBAGE ! They immediately go into the can. I have a C-clip selection which includes the correct size (2.5mm indicated on that compartments lid) that are actually tempered-steel and can be reused, over and over.
2) The Float needle valve retainers vary. Some fit correctly: most don't. Some can be "reshaped" to stay on but I always check to ensure that the valves needle doesn't hang-up as has occurred after getting them to fit the groove.. When all else fails: I make my own using an appropriate dia. tension spring and a few minutes with needle-nose pliers. Too easy and no "Jig".
3) I have recently discovered the Emullsion-tubes have been several thou. too large and wont fit into the Tower. Easy enough to correct but "Why the fuck should you have too"?
And" NO.....I don't enlarge the tower bore !!!!
