If you don't have .005" brass-shim you can sacrifice a feeler blade BUT ONLY IF you narrow it down to 4 to 5mm wide AND smooth-out the newly cut edges.
This has been giving me a sync vacuum in the range of 5" to 6" Hg. which is a good starting point.

It pre-sets the throttle-plate Gap.......On the bench. "Static" Preliminary setting !
