Fuel injection problem
2 years 10 months ago - 2 years 10 months ago
Hi guys, I hope someone can put me in the right direction
A few weeks ago I removed the throttle bodies, anyway they are back in and I cannot get the bike to start,
As it has a great spark it’s not the coils however the plugs are bone dry
when tested I have 12v on the Yellow and red and white leads that come out of the DFI box as there should be.
the injectors open and close when tested as per the Manuel.
I then put a the test lights on the connectors and when the engine is cranked the 12v test bulb only just glow’s dimly.
I decided to see if the wires to the connector may be the issue so one end of the test light on the connector yellow wire
the other to earth and the bulb glowed bright, the same with the red and white wire.
there are no warning lights on the DFI box, and it started fine prior to throttle body removal.
Please help
cheers Gavin

I'm wondering if you've lost a ground. When you used the test light did you test across the two injector connectors or one of the connectors to the frame (ground)?

Well the I:jectors, the fuel pump, pressure regulator working fine, I remembered that the last time I had the injectors off I had the same problem,
it settled itself after a week of priming and attempted starts, someone on a Z13 forum said they had an airlock in the fuel rail.
