Enriching Valve mod

I've seen it hinted at that this should be removed and a gasket used to seal it. Anyone got the link or complete instructions please. Carbs are coming off to do Scotch's air choke mod, so may as well do this as well.
Thanks!

Looking forward to a response to this--I'd love to hear a definitive answer. In my mind, simpler is always better!

Remove the cover - remove the "guts" - replace the cover with a solid gasket. Done !

Nothing can "go wrong".. If you're experiencing back-fire - put the guts back in. Check your mixture, timing and sync. first. Mine have been blocked-off for 2 seasons now and the engine hasn't farted once. And yes.....No Shit: I gained 4-5 MPG. This was one of 4 "tweaks" I did trying to gain mileage. Eventually ended up with a consistent 52MPG @100KPH avg. riding identical runs of 272 Kilometers.
