GAS CAP

Hi, i have an issue with a gas cap on a new bike i have just brought, i seem to be getting a very small fuel leak which appears to be coming from the key slot in the petrol cap, i have never encountered this before on a z1300, it looks like a standard cap any ideas i am guessing i am looking at an O ring failure or similar
thanks for any help

Hi Paul

Do you encounter a residue that is located around the key-slot, yellowish to brown that can be removed easily with oil or gasoline ?

Hi Holger
i only got the bike yesterday and it was very low on fuel so put a few gallons of super unleaded in it and took it for a run, initially it was popping a bit but that cleared but i noticed a small amount of fuel coming out of the key slot, i will try and take a photo of the internals of the cap later
