What's the best bang-for-the-buck deal out there for an ultrasonic cleaner? Harbor Freight 2.5 liter?

Also curious. See lots of reviews of lower priced models that don't seem to have a very long life (perhaps not surprising).

Just sitting around having a look about and ended up on the motorcycle project and came across this 2 page article on ultrasonic cleaners and it's worth the 5 minute read just for background info.
www.motorcycleproject.com/text/ultrasonic.html
The main site itself is full of interesting articles and worth a poke around just for interest sake.

Wonder where this statement is founded?
"a heater is an unnecessary expense, as anyone who has been around ultrasonic machines knows."
I kind of like washing my hands in USC with warm water!

I bought one of these
www.amazon.com/dp/B097D54QRJ?psc=1&ref=p...dt_b_product_details
and have been happy so far.
Probably have over 100 hours on it now...

After reading the information I had posted, I thought "Well what the hell did I buy?"
I used it on my carb rebuild and was thrilled with the result. At the nuke plant we used much larger ultrasonic cleaners with upwards of 500 watts of ultrasonic transducer power and 1000 watts of heating and I can say that this little cleaner did as good a job on the carbs as I would have expected from the larger industrial cleaner.
On the upside of having one of these, the wife hands me a handful of her jewellery about once every 3-4 months and I put them through the ultrasonic cleaner. You want to see the reflective sparkle of the facets of the diamond ring when it comes out of the cleaner. It emphasises the cleaning effect of ultrasonic cleaning.
I went looking around the net to see what I paid for this unit and doesn't appear to be available. At 100 watts of transducer power I found a similar unit here.

At $113 CDN and free shipping, not bad.
The unit Don has suggested above is twice the size of the one I have and twice the output power and it's more expensive by about $40 so it would be a better buy + Don's happy with it so "tried and tested"
