Another Fuel Injection question (ZG1300A1)
5 years 7 months ago - 5 years 7 months ago
Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me what this adjuster is for, I cannot find any reference to it in the manuals, although when I close the throttle it moves down, I am setting up my throttle cables and the manual states there should be no gap between the lever and the stop and if there is it can be adjusted with the deceleration adjuster at the throttle unfortunetly it will not close the gap, is this what the adjuster in the pic is for.
Cheers Gavin

That little Guy is to adjust the Throttle Stop. Their is a measurement for it in the manual. If your cables are adjusted properly just leave it. it can be Fiddly.
If the idle lowers when you move the throttle closed and then some you may have to adjust it.

Thanks for that, as I said in my post when when the bike is at idle I can move the throttle forward (close) and the bracket move down until it meets the stop on the cable holder, is that supposed to happen?

Yes it should hit that stop, the idea is that it hits that stop before putting pressure on the rest of the throttle linkage I.E the Butterfly's etc. As long as that is happening and your idle isn't going all over the place you should be alright to leave that adjustment alone.
