These are interesting Scotch, is there a difference between tip and jet cleaners?
I picked up a set of 'jet cleaners' which were really just a keyring-bunch of wires of various ODs but with tips tapered down to a sharp point, a short plain shaft aft of that (say 7mm) then a knurled section of the same OD and then back to plain wire.
Like mini-spears with hand-grips, so to speak!
I used these on my glued-solid mains and emulsions that the diesel and ultra didn't shift (although to be fair may have softened) but I don't yet know how cleanly they've 'cleaned' (and / or damaged!) and what the impact is on running.
As you guys have all pretty much collectively said, any issues whatsoever justify the low-cost replacement of them, but I'll run them up for the hell of it and see what happens.

Never actually had "jet-Cleaners" but your description of yours sounds like someone was smart, when there were being made.
