Fuel filter (sorted now)

Hi

I am still having starting issues on my UK ZG1300 DFI I have fitted a new genuine fuel filter but have noticed there is never more than between 1/4 to half inch of fuel present at any time, the fuel flow from the tap is good, hose routing has no kinks or bends, but the fuel should be higher than what it is shouldn't it

Cheers
Gavin

You've got one big air bubble trapped in the fuel filter. not a big deal but it would be nice to have the fuel filtered across the entire filter medium. So I suggest you leave everything hooked up and if possible rotate the filter up side down so that the outlet of the filter is on top to allow the fuel pump to suck the air out of the filter and push it through the fuel feed lines and the air will eventually end up returning to the fuel tank. After the air has left the filter, you can return the filter to its normal position

It's normal, mine is the same, always has been. The fuel visibly gushes through it but doesn't fill it fully. Have a look at the footage of a stock ZG1300 fuel filter in action here:

How's the spark? Are you still on the original coils?
