fuel line question

9 years 3 weeks ago
#10547
Hi Guys
looking for some help with a problem with my A1, I went to start it today after not using it for a month only to discover the fuel hose had split, replaced the fuel hose and eventually managed to start it but after a minute or so the revs start
rising quickly without any use of the throttle, I assumed when I routed the new hose I had trapped the throttle cable or carb linkage but it seems clear any ideas
thanks
Paul

Any chance you have an air leak between the carbs and the head?

Hi Bill
I will check if it ever stops raining but I doubt it because I haven't disturbed the carbs at all just the fuel line, perhaps I have routed it incorrectly and just cant see where it is interfering with the linkages

Sounds feasible. Usually rev up a bit just before they sputter and die!!
