2025-08-07 Chocolatie Progress
I was hoping that this bike would be completed months ago.
I was starting a work gig out of town. I knew I wouldn't have time to work on it. There's a local guy in town who knows these older bikes, but he is super busy.
That was 4.2 months ago.
He was a bit reluctant to even take the motorcycle in, but I assured him it was a very good starting point, It has not been messed with.
So far, new Fork and dust seals. Taper roller bearings in the head. I also noticed he was able to get the rear master
cylinder reservoir screws out. Which is something I tried, but realized all I was going to do was make more trouble.
Because of the passage of time, I sent him a text asking him to either drain the float bowls or start the bike and drain them dry.
Surprisingly enough, this bike, idles and carburets perfectly, so I don't wanna mess with it.
So there she sits. Finally getting some love. I have high hopes for this bike, it should be a better runner than my 79.
