Almost back on the road!!!!
8 years 9 months ago
After years of thinking what could be and how it would be, one heart attack and some bypasses later, it's almost done! In a few days my Z1300 will be back on the road again. It runs perfectly. Starts after carb cleaning and repair unbelievable good. I thought about repainting and made a decission for the factory unrestored condition. It is like an old jeans or linus's cuddly blanket:-)
When winter is gone (2 deg. C. right now.....) I'll take some pictures in the sun.
Thanks for your support!!!

If it runs as good as it looks, you better not put it on a dyno. You might break it.

Thanks for your compliments! Since it is obviously allowed to sympathize with "other" bikebrands I think I have to pull away the cover from the bike in the background:-)
Hope you like it!

Ok now I'm putting on my bib. The wife gets mad when I drool on my shirt. Had 2 of them . A 79 and an 80 both in Candy Glory Red.
If youve been following my conversion, you'll note that I'm spoofing my KZ conversion to look like the CBX in Candy Glory Red with custom badges saying KZ in red with XIII in outlined gold lettering. I've also added a ducktail to the rear tail piece to look like the CBX tail. The only thing I haven't fivured out is how to get the redline of the KZ up to 10000 rpm. Then I'd have a watercooled CBX !!!
I also have a GPZ900 taillight going on her. The sexist taillight I've ever seen.

I guess we all agree that there is nothing wrong with the CBX, no, she is a pretty bike, very different to the mighty Zed, however still admirable.
