Oil filter O-rings not fitting

Bought several Fram CH6013 oil filters for my ZN1300. The new O-rings do not fit the filter cover at all. They are way too big. Anybody else have this problem with the filters they use? Anybody else use the Fram CH6013 and have this problem? I can go get correct O-rings at my local hardware store, but was just wondering why the new ones supplied with the filter don't fit.

Bruce: I use CarQuest #89943 which crosses to Fram #ch6014. on my 81 A3 Check the ch6014 for the correct "o" ring size.

OK! Maybe the CH6013 isn't the correct filter after all! Will pick up a CH6014 and compare the filter and the o-ring.
