Before you tear it apart, and with the engine idling, exercise the clutch lever. Listen to the noise you refer to, does it change? If so this helps narrow it down to the clutch assembly, or something near the clutch.
Squealing suggests a bearing, a clearance issue, or improperly assembled clutch.
