Just think, if we could get our transmissions to whine loud enough people may get out of our way.

greetings from weather challenged England

riding my 1300 which I have not had long I am concerned the gearbox whines a little on the overrun in the lower gears. all works fine and all gears select etc, but if accelerating in 2nd gear for instance if you back the throttle off there is a certin whine. not sure if the transmission is naturaly noisy or not ??

I remember riding a valkiery once with the same but the guy who owned it said they were all like that

any info guys

Hi BT,
I've never noticed any unusual level of transmission noise out of my two 1300's, but then, that just may be because my every day ride is a Valkyrie which whines, up and down, in every gear.

No help here. Sorry!

I notice a whine in mine as well. It only happens under hard acceleration or engine braking for me. I kind of enjoy the extra noise though lol and everything is pretty quiet otherwise.

I have noticed that the gears in our kz motors are quite large too. I imagine if they don't mesh up perfectly, they're going to make some noise lol.
