I tossed the ballast resistor! I'm using a after market Dyna 2000 ignition system. The timing is good. The issue seems to be with the idle circuit. When I rolled the throttle and the main jets kick in it runs and sounds great especially with the DG pipe! When it is at idle it runs like sh$#! Back firing and popping etc. Too much fuel is going into the carbs it seems. The needles need to be adjusted it looks like?. The spark plug wires are also suspect as well. The oil leaks I will most likely just farm that job out to the local shop to replace the cylinder base gasket as well as the head gasket. But for now I'm just concerned about getting it running smooth.Just have to keep an eye on the oil level if you know what I mean

That is true! I will add that to my bucket list of things to look at. I have the carbs off the bike and will check for sure. The needle on the carb where do you have yours set at? Again I am running a DG pipe and 105 main jets, thank you.
