Just saw your post asking about torquing the head bolts.
The Service Manual pages 37-41 talk a lot about torquing the fasteners including when to apply a lubricant to the threads and face of the fastener being torqued. For the head bolts it doesn't call for any lubricant. That being said, back in the plant, nothing got torqued without first cleaning the threads to bare metal and then applying anti seize to the threads and the face of the fastener. From my training courses at the plant, we tested the difference between torquing dry and torquing with anti seize applied and the difference was as much as 15%. I have always used anti seize on all of my fasteners, especially when torquing is involved.
