I have several technical challenges on the lift that require more advanced diagnostic tools than currently in the box.
So, purchased an MicSig auto O-scope and a little Hall-Effect Signal generator.

The MicSig was/is kinda pricey. But, between the two of them, have been able to diagnose 2 issues with a friends Super Tenere (COP no signal on plug #3, and no pulses on fuel injector), and also to bench test a bunch of FJR1300 fuel injectors.

Having little O-Scope experience, it's been a learning curve. But now I think the basics are understood.. still more to learn, especially the so-called 'Math' functions.

I'm looking forward to recording the pulses out of the 79 A1 pick coils, the 2006 FJR Cruise Control (Audiovox CCS-100), hopefully good data will improve performance.

Anyhow, made a little video of bench testing a fuel injector, FJR1300 and thought I'd share.

Interesting tools for the toolbox Don. I've considered buying a scope but not quite at the point that I have the need for it . the signal generator is the only way to test injectors properly although you really need to supply fuel to the injector for cooling and also to be able to measure output based on input signal.

Have you got specifications for those injectors?
Have you got standard testing criteria for doing your test so you don't damage the injector?

Glad you're having fun because that's what it's all about.
