MY LEGACY. was created by kawaBCN
My legacy.5 years ago my life changed...I suffered a thrombosis and as a result I lost 80% of the vision in my right eye. All the doctors I visited told me that "I was lucky" if the clot affected my brain I might not have survived. This made me change my way of life, after working hard since I was 16 I decided to slow down, take life in a different way, have more time for myself and my family.I have always had a motorcycle but never really had time to enjoy it. I decided to fulfill my dream of having an exclusive garage and started my Kawas collection but without parting with any of the motorcycles I had. I am a hoarder, not a seller.I was lucky enough to marry the best woman in the world, from the first day she agreed to take motorcycle trips. My two sons are also bikers, I am proud to have transmitted my passion to the boys, they both have motorcycles and we often go out on the road on Sundays, on Saturdays we work.I show you a small photo album attesting that the motorcycle is part of our family life.
I took my first long trip at the age of 23 with a Laverda trail that I had, in the photo I am at the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Jarama circuit in '91.
This past summer I traveled with my wife more than 5000 km in two weeks with my BMW R1200C Montauk
With my oldest son when he debuted his ZX-10R
With my youngest son and his Z650 (he was taking the photo)
Removing the dust and cobwebs from grandmas on a spring Sunday.
Montesa Impala and Ossa 250 "pepsi".
With my Impala at a rally of vintage motorcycles, I received the award for the best motorcycle in original condition and the award for the best clothing of the time.
I am 55 years old and have a whole life ahead of me.

Funny how major health issues cause you to reconsider what's important in life. Actually it's a real shame that we need to be kicked in the ass with a major health issue to realign our values. We should all work to live and not live to work. I've put off working on this KZ1300 for over 20 years so that I could help fulfill my wife's dreams. She had cancer 32 years ago and I made a promise to God that I would ensure that she got all that she asked for just in case life called short for her. As soon as I finish off this latest project for her, I'm back on working on the bike for me until ........

But one of the pleasant and comforting sensations that I enjoy is going out riding together with my sons.
In the same way that you have been able to transmit values of responsibility, work and effort to your children, at the same time you see your passion for motorcycles continue.
Sometimes we go to motorcycle events as a family, this photo is from a few weeks ago, we were at the MotoGP Grand Prix at the Montmeló circuit, just 60 km from my house.
