I got SCAMMED, Kz1300 FB group

Well, here I go being DAD again. Found a very nice seat on FB KZ1300 group page.160 USD shipping from San Francisco, which is ~220 miles north of me. Contact seller via Messenger. 160 + 40 to ship, 200 total. Sounds good. A day goes by, no shipping info. Then a Messenger notice from 'husband' of 'wife' that she misquoted, it's really $300 bucks to cover VAT, shipping, handling. AFAIK, VAT is only for overseas and seller mentions the exhaust system was way underpriced. WTFO, I was looking at a seat? So, I let the FB group know, I've contacted PayPal, but long of short I'll be out 200 USD. If it sounds too good to be true...

After years of buying on-line, my first time scammed. And I felt it was 'off' but kept going. Learn and Live..

And this is why I use PayPal. . They will intervene and reverse the charges if you can justifiably show them the fraudulent transaction. You have the conversation saved in your texts, so I would just forward to PayPal and wait for the refund.

Well, got the 200 back, many thanks to PayPal. Contacted the FB accounts peep. Opened an official PP 'dispute' and provided all info.

It's a lot of scammers around in the social media fishing their victims.
