Carb corrosion was created by scotch
From the same carb. (set) as the OEM Float Damage:

Must have been some "nasty water" sitting for some time to do this damage.  The same cause of this corrosion seized (welded) the Pilot-needles.  Broke off both heads even after several days of penetrating oil, solvent soaking and multiple applications of heat !  Either/or....this carb-body was a write-off !

What I had to work with;

Finished:
I nickel-plated most of the hardware ( in my shop)
"Over-flows" installed
Nylon fuel-drain bolts
Extended Idle adjust
Polished venturi's and throttle-plates plus my usual enhancements - Might get 60MPG from this set !
Yes !  That is a piece of (air-filter) foam in the air-filter side ( between the inlets)  Not to "filter" air. Only one other person will understand this !
