I got a similar bike for $200, complete with scared owner and wife wanting it gone. There is no downside. Snag it.

I have a 1979 Kz1300 parked in my garage since 1996. I got it to run somewhat last year with a complete carb rebuild and replacement of the pick-up (pulser) coil. It still has some issues but it is coming back to life as I have time. Even a rust bucket left out in the weather is worth 300+ in parts.

The water pump mechanical seal will be shot as they don't like sitting idle & the carbs will need cleaning, both jobs not too bad. Also check the internal condition of the fuel tank. Other than that it's the general condition of the rest of the bike really. I'd go for it.

You should be just fine as long as you have a very healthy and fruitful money tree in your garden and a very understanding missus...............
