New to me Neglected Kz1300B

i got mine at autozone, .633 ohm were part number AL795, and alternative part number AR-17. They were $5.00 each but i had to go to three autozones, they all only had one in stock. lol

I just came back from visiting NAPA. These BMW resistors show in their computer as not available. So.... NAPA, at least in Vancouver, is not where to look for them.

That 0.633 is I guess too much for my 2.2 and 2.3 coils, so I need to find 0.4 and 0.5 coils. Unless an expert would confirm I could use these which you bought safely as well.
Ebay shows the Mercedes resistors at around USD 30 plus shipping. That would be about 130 Canadian dollars for three. Thank you but no thank you LOL

well, for what its worth, i just put sn ohm meter on these, and all three are .3 ohms. Kinda upset, and on the fence but i think im just going to use them

I don't know what you have for "test equipment" but if it's a $10 multimeter, then I question the value you got. I used to use Fluke electronic test equipment which was annually calibrated. Now that I'm retired, i have reasonable equipment. My multimeter probably set me back $90. It would be close to reasonable but for total acurracy I would have to check it for calibration. We're talking minimal ohms here. It just needed to be said. Always Always question your readings no matter what they are and judge whether or not to believe them.

Thays fair. My voltmeter is a $30 deal. Nothing special, but ive been using my last voltmeter for many years. 5+. The leads have been broken off and replaced multiple times. It told me the coild i bought were 7 ohms. I bought a $30 deal from home depot and out of box, they gave my coils 2.1 which is consistent to the research ive done for aw81 or 82 or what ever (im at the bar drinking at the moment) so i consider it mostly on point. But ur completely right, it could be a couple tenths off. Im still gunna use em. Lol

You should check the tolerance specs on your ohmmeter. Many ohmmeters cannot accurately measure resistances that small.[/strike]
