Warning taken on board, thank you. These are A2 stainless bolts whatever that means. I will do some research as to what spec is acceptable. I could always polish and refit the originals as I have labelled and kept them. Cheers, Marc. :ohmy:

B) I have the callipers back from Pastparts and very nice they look too. They were not cheap at £240 but at least all the brakes are up to spec. I will fit these asap and that just leaves the exhaust to make before I can start thinking about firing this thing up.

I can't believe what you guys pay for things over there. Those prices would put me in the poor house. Crappers!!

Out of curiosity, what's the average wage of a tradesman in the UK? I find everything tends to be relative so maybe my thinking that 240 pounds (can't find the pound sign on the keyboard) is a lot but maybe it's not relative to a standard wage?

I don't know about wages in the UK, but if you press and hold "Alt" and then 0163, after releasing "Alt", "£" should aprear. Good old ASCII :)

Kawboy - I work in the car trade in Britain, and my MONTHLY pay - after the government has taken (robbed) a portion for tax etc to spend on benefits for immigrants and for foreign aid - is about £ 1400 ( one thousand four hundred pounds ). We are ripped off when it comes to prices for goods , though for services involving skilled work, such as sleeving those brake calipers, I would happily pay for a quality job.

Hell, I don't like paying these prices either. Luckily I can do all the mechanical stuff myself but, when it comes to specialist stuff like the caliper sleeves, you are at the mercy of specialist service prices. The brakes were manky, and the removed parts that they sent back were in pretty poor condition and fully justified the cost of this work. At the end of the day when I haul in the brake lever I want them to work.
