That's the speedo case finally finished. I couldn't get the original small round 4 W bulbs so I fitted the closest I could get. What I am not sure about is the length of the glass envelope- they are slightly longer than original and I am hoping that it does not put the hot bit too close to the coloured lens of the warning lights.

My rear master cylinder was weeping and , trying to find replacement parts and seals proved impossible so, I sent it off to Past Parts and they were able to bore it out, put a srainless steel insert in and fit it with a modern seal kit. All done at a bery reasonable £122. I dread to think what an original would have cost- if you could find one . I ran the master cylinder cap and bolts, the peg hanger and the peg through the polishing wheel and I think it has tidied up that area nicely. I am still debating whether to use the original brake hose, which seems ok, or to put one of those coloured , modern ones on it. B)

Looking good; excellent advice re master cylinder as well :cheer: .

I have black Goodridge hoses on mine.....looks a lot better than standard IMHO.
Toxteth scouser, made good ..now hiding on the Wirral :-)

I couldn't get a gasket for a couple of the covers so had to do it the old school way and make my own. The gasket sheet came at very low cost from Ebay. I ran the cover through the polishing wheel and fitted new stainless bolts. It is the same story with the transmission cover.

:( next up the ignition system-oh dear! All three coils have got cracks in them which, at best, is not good. I got onto good old Ebay and sourced these new coils for £85 quid for all three. Trouble is the new coils have different connectors to the originals so I had to make up a simple conversion to match them to the ballast resistor that feeds them with the required electrical input.

B) My newly rebuilt rear caliper again from Past parts. This is an absolutely first class piece of rebuilding at a very reasonable cost. This caliper looks better than new and sports a modern set of seals into the bargain- well pleased.
