hay bill on the 84 voyager the counter shaft sprocket/gear comes out with basket-same with the 79-80 but the sprocket/gear looks larger on the 79-80 as well 84 looks extended.will i need to press in 84 to earlier basket?thks

Hi candp,

I'm not following you. The clutch housing is NOT integral with the secondary shaft. Page 88 of the FSM suggests that three 8mm by 1.25 bolts 50 mm long be used to pull the clutch housing off of the secondary shaft.

You said: "...the counter shaft sprocket/gear comes out with basket...". There is a set of splines on the outer hub. By sprocket/gear are you referring to the splines on the outer hub?




While I've never swapped a nine plate clutch for a seven plate clutch, it's my understanding that they're interchangeable except for the deeper case cover.
