I thought about black, but I don't want it to look like a Harley! :)

what about a one to one copy - a KZ1300 P ?

Seems you got ties to this place which is not bad, yet expensive.

I've heard that white is the safest motorcycle color, because it catches other motorists' eyes -- they always look twice to see if you're a cop! (Virtually all, if not all, cop bikes in the U.S. are white)

I rode my KZ1000P for about a year. The motor was strong and fast, but not even in the same class (horsepower- and vibration-wise) as the KZ1300. The KZP was very user-friendly (the seat and footboards were comfortable) but without lowers on the fairing it was pretty breezy on the highway.

That KZ1000P actually looks pretty gnarly..... I like it!

Interested to see what you can do with the Big 6 Cylinder. There's actually one of those close to me, but I decided to pass when I saw how much it would cost to make it what I want. Good luck on yours!

The cop bike got more looks and comments than any bike I've ever owned.

Although I've had 30 or 40 Japanese bikes over the past 45 years, the KZ1300 is a "first" for me in several respects:

1. First six-cylinder (no surprise there)
2. First liquid-cooled bike
3. First shaft drive bike
4. First touring bike
5. First bike with a stereo

A former coworker of mine has a KZ1300. The moment I first saw and heard it, I knew that I had to have one. So when this B2 showed up nearby on Craigslist, I jumped on it.

I don't intend to customize it, other than repainting -- I like stock bikes.

I got to experience both liquid-cooling and shaft drive with my 4 cylinder Goldwings. The shaft drive is REALLY nice- no fiddling with chains or whatnot. It's just sort of... there. And it works.

Liquid cooling has its quirks. There's more to go wrong, sure, but once it's dialed in, it's pretty nice. No experience with the KZ system of course, but that's what I got.
