Hi all. Thanks for having me. I'm in Sydney Australia and have just grabbed an old 1979 Z1300. Its an early build number and the Original owner fully rebuilt the motor then had it in storage for about 11 years. It's gunna need some help (as am I) to get up and going.
The plan is mainly cosmetic, ie: to get rid of the sidecar, fairing etc and and get it back to stock with some neat Black paint and some pinstripes. Here it is right now:

I hope I can find some info here and will probably be posting up stupid questions along the way.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Pete. Mate I dunno what's in the sidecar yet. It gets delivered next week from Melbourne. Yes the PO had lost a leg, hence the rig and stick shift. This is gumna be a blast as I'm a long term vintage Harley guy!!!!

Hi KEL,

Welcome to KZ1300.COM!

If you're new to 1300's you should read the FAQ, linked on all of these pages.

In the mean time feel free to ask away.

What's up with that rocking horse, could be fun?

Thanks mate. This is gunna be interesting to say the least! Like I say I'm a vintage Harley guy so this thing has got me a little excited!
Yeah the sidecar is bizzare but its not in my plans together with the fairing. Both will end up on eBay.
I'm looking forward to this resto, and hopefully I can make a small profit when its finished.
Here we go!!?
