Hammerite takes around 3 weeks to fully cure.

It takes a lot less if applied to a heated surface which accelerates the curing.

I have split petrol or had carbs overflow on many engines painted with it............no problem.

Put it this way, its far more resistant to petrol than other so called engine paints on the market !

Just saw that someone asked for video in a different thread and remembered this:

From before I stripped it down to renovate the engine. Cruising around Christchurch in Dorset. Pity about the wind noise drowning out the sound of the engine
