Hi guys. Very pleased to be a member of this community. My name is Paul. I live in Aylmer Ontario and am also sole proprietor of a motorcycle repair shop in St Thomas. One of the bikes that I have recently turned my attention to is a 1980 KZ1300 touring model. Actually I'll have to check the ownership to verify the year because I seem to remember the manufacture date as 04/80. I like to try and keep the focus on late seventies to mid-eighties bike at the shop when I can. Looking forward to getting tons of help from this forum. Seems like a great place. I might be able to help out some of you guys also. That would be great too.
Paul

I believe that you'll find that my claim, for the site, as the World's Best Tech Resource for Kawasaki Sixes flows out of the members and their willingness to share their knowledge and experience. The addition of your expertise will make us that much better.
Looking forward to hearing about your travails on that 1300 Touring model.

Welcome to the site. Looking forward to sharing thoughts and experiences with you.

Are you Elgin County Cycle? I lived in Grand Bend between 2009-2013. The only time I got to St.Thomas was in an ambulance dealing with a kidney stone. Had to be shipped to your hospital in St. Thomas for a MRI. Good people down in St. Thomas.

Thanks guys. Yes Kawboy, that is my shop. I will post some pics of the bike soon. Sad bugger. It has not been run since 1989 so it will be a challenge for sure. The tank is removed for cleaning (full of terrible smelling guck) and the carbs will be coming off soon for ultrasonic cleaning and rebuild.Engine turns by hand so there is hope for it.
