I was originally planning to do my body parts in flat black with a gloss black offset strip down the centerline. I think that scheme would work for you. I'm even thinking the engine covers on yours should be done in black. The aluminum and yellow doesn't work IMO.

Well am now experimenting with paint strippers on some of the parts that I have swapped there must be something out there to lift the powder coat, If I find something I will take a fresh look at this, the yellow engine is killing me lol not sure I can live with it. Might just take the bike back to components and start again I think I could have worked with any color apart from Yellow especially the engine. Thanks to all that have commented especially the comment of this project not being unsalvageable that one has driven me to think again. Would hate to put loads of work and money into this and not be happy with the result

i agree if the motor was black i think it would look good,, but i have always liked yellow,,
