I thought breaks we only an optional factory accessory the 1300's ;)

I agree with Kawboy the bike is more like a old Caddy than a Porsche. I have been riding my 1300 A1 barn find for the past year. Back in 1979 cars weren't that fast or powerful.The bike is now just "adequate" on today's highway. It's a comfy highway bike. I just did 2000 miles in 3 days and it wasn't bad. It was actually quite comfortable. Just enjoy the bike for what it is.
