Most of the the parts you need able to get of ebay. Re your side airbox covers. You shall have to dig deep into your wallet from the guy in Germany. Just type in on google under Z1300 spares and will come up.

Best thing to do is keep an eye on EBay and the German shop. It IS going to hurt the wallet. I did the same thing you did. Let's see if I can remember what I paid...

headlight ears: $120
Headlight bucket: $25 (from the GPZ1100. It's identical to the KZ1300. Have the headlight and rings, too. It's a bit rough, but it's yours for shipping if you want it)
Horn cover and mount: $30 (got lucky)
Grab bar: $150 (for the early non-chrome bar. You may find the later style a bit easier, and cheaper.
Chrome air box covers: $250 (for stainless copies. Cheapest I've seen.)

I had blinkers out of the fairing I had, but those run anywhere from $100 for the whole set to $100 each. Cheaper alternatives are available, if you're okay with not exactly stock.

It's tough, but doable. Best thing is to pick at it, get parts as they are available. Good luck!

$250 for steel air box covers... where? I've seen plastic ones go for that much....

mrritz - The turn signals from the kz1000's and KZ750's are "close" in style to the 1300 for a lot less money.

I believed it's the same gentleman making the stainless steel mufflers. The air box covers are on EBay, and the price fluctuates. Current price is $350, I've seen as high as $500, and I gotta say as low as $250. Again, a LOT of getting this stuff is watching, waiting, knowing when to jump on a good deal, knowing when to pass, and getting lucky.

I was fortunate enough to know a decent powder coater, so a lot of the black pieces I could get in substandard quality, then get them powder coated good as new.
