hi to all the members...
im in the process of rebuilding the rear master cylinder...
i have been told that the piston kit on both front and rear master cylinders on this bike, are the same.
has any member gone down this path and could verify this ?
at some point, i will also have to find a rear cylinder bellows cap for this....

any tips or direction to any of the above is welcomed...

They are not the same, but from what I get the rubber seal on the piston is the same - comparing they looked identical to me (although without removing the one from the rear). Good news is, the full rebuild kit is now sold from Zed Parts. Not sure about the dust boot though, I was lucky to get one from eBay.
If your piston seal looks good, and the bore looks alright, I would suggest honing it by hand with compounds and 2000 grid paper for wet sanding. I did that and the brake is rock solid - although still on the center stand, but I have no reason to be not confident.
Mine front - sent it to be re-sleeved with stainless steel as the bore was shot, put a brand new kit put in, and this should last virtually forever. Front brake is way more important than rear, so I would suggest concentrating on this.

I’m doing my rear brakes also. I just received my rear master cylinder kit from Helmut. I’ve had a search on here, but I can’t find a “how to” remove and refit the new parts. Can anyone point me in the right direction or post a link here. Thanks.

If you haven't already you should get yourself the workshop manual. Kawasaki manuals are great for the home mechanic and explain things in great detail as well as having really good drawings of how things fit together. It will explain how to get at the rear M/C. I did mine some time ago and like you couldn't work out how to get at the bugger. Finally went back to the manual and it explained all (especially removing things that weren't obvious at first).
