Yes, yes, I am keeping this in mind. That would also be true to stock sizes, and I am trying to sort this out. There were less options and research in the early 80's, quality of compounds in terms of high tech advanced. I'm wondering what people experimenting with all this came up with. I bet not all stock tire sizes would be equally appreciated nor have identical properties. Just sticking to stock sizes would be cutting options short, ignoring possible positive customization.

I am not trying to be a pain in the arse, haha, but rather trying to bring as much info as is out there to light and help be make a choice. All cards are on the table, all options considered! Thank you for giving it even more thought Bucko. Much appreciated.

For what it's worth, I'm running on :

Front - ME 880 Metzler Marathon-M - 110/90.
Not much of a "wet-weather" rider anymore so will concede to stang's comment regarding his experience with these in rain. I live in the semi-arid Southern interior of B.C. B) Stan rides year 'round in Vancouver where everything is wet !

Rear - Continental "Contimotion" - 150/70 with 1/2" between side-wall and right side of swing arm.

That's right, just came back from a ride! Damn, the wheels don't warm up much. Still, better than -7. That would the coldest for me on a motorcycle.

Speaking of ME 880, I have a used 150/90 - 15 in a very very good condition. If anyone reads this and wants to pick it up, I'm open to offers. I switched to custom rim and radials on my other bike so this one is sitting around my place.

As "We" in the "Interior" say; "Ah Yes....Vancouver - Where everything is lush and rotting!"

.....and as they say in Vancouver: "Ah Yes.... The Sunny Smokanagan"!

Only 300 miles apart and in the summer - One where it never seems to stops raining and the other always on fire!

There's a reason why it's called Raincouver, LOL

I will have to make it to Smokanagan to pick apples one day :woohoo:
