throttle grip assembly was created by CWB
1982 KZ 1300-A4 . The main throttle lug on the "throttle grip assembly" has crumbled . I have made a metal plate as a substitute lug but don't have much faith in it working for long.
I have disconnected the return throttle cable so the bike operates on only the one throttle cable.
Is it known if any other bike has a "throttle grip assembly" that would be a suitable substitute?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by: "main throttle lug on the "throttle grip assembly". Are you referring to the throttle tube?

I'm thinking he's referring to the assembly that the cable end rests in grip tube that rotates to open and close the throttle?

Apologise for the delay in getting back. After searching all over the place on ebay and local bike shops for a new throttle grip assembly I had no luck. ( I did find one source in USA but they did not post to Australia).
For clarity ,this is for the "assembly that the cable end rests in grip tube that rotates to open and close the throttle"
I reverted back to cutting a small piece of plastic from a drill handle which was the correct thickness. I then shaped it to the required size and plastic welded this new bit onto the throttle grip tube. I also added to the "melt", some zip tie as a filler. This was then filed and sanded to an accurate shape and it is as strong as the original. The only difference is the added bit is black against the white throttle body grip.
Thank you for taking the time to assist with this gremlin.
