BTW, the mechanical advancer was only used in 79 and 80 in A1 and A2 as well as the touring model B2. 81 onwards has the ignition advancing incorporated in the electronic ignition.

I saw that, thanks. Apparently not the one I need. I believe that is for the water pump. The part I need is a plastic gear with metal bearing, looks very similar to the cam chain sprocket but smaller.

It looks like I found it by emailing a website called www.z1300.de/

They are emailing me back to let me know the cost, with shipping.
