The German site might be the way to go. The bevel gear I have only works for the later models, unfortunately.

use to have one spare for a '79, but gave it away to a bike shop to get a z13 trike going for a Vietnam vet, have another motor here but it's my last spare pieces motor, sorry... hang on, bike shop in Brisbane needed the shaft, they had some metal bevel gears made by some mob in Sydney and they lost the shaft, i'll see if I can find the name of the Brisbane shop and ring them and ask who made the metal gears, if they did it with a cnc machine they might still have the program to reproduce them.

Found the bike shop, contacted the owner with a phone message and an e-mail, just waiting for him to get back to me about the gears, if he doesn't call soon i'll give him another ring, Pete

If the shop that manufactured the metal H2O drive gear still has them, or would be interested in producing more, perhaps the members of this site would buy enough of them to make production profitable. I would certainly buy 2 of them if available. That's assuming they would ship to the U.S.

He got back to me, I sent a PM to geofie with the web address and contact details, they are in Melbourne, i'll drop them an e-mail and see how much they are and what sort of deal they could do for a few sets, cheers Pete.
