Better than great, knocking a few points back into place on the tank is a super idea. Like you say, Tuckabag, nothing to lose and everything to gain. Plus, I will do this in front of the bike, so it will get an idea as to what happens to offending parts ;)

I will do this during the upcoming weekend and post results.

I don't know about the pies, but I'm all about the big hammer and the beers. Bolt hole now lines up perfectly. The tank is still too wide up front, but I will pick up a ratcheting sinch tomorrow and see if I can pull things to proper specs.

This is the first thing I've done to this dinosaur that worked, and it was with a hammer and a piece of pipe.
