Bought a set of these a few years back

Was disappointed from the first bump. With the pre-load backed off and "0" pressure they were too hard. Harsh ride for my 175lbs.
Took them apart easily, removed an air-bladder and drained the shock-oil (about 80mil.) There's enough residual oil to keep the piston lubed. Cut the thick seal from the bottom of the bladder

- put this seal back onto the "plug" that seals the bottom of the canister and has an air-valve. The photos tell the rest.

Nice comfortable compliant ride, now with the capability of having a usable range of pre-load and air pressure. Drilling/tapping for the 1/8" MPT's was straight forward.
