Switzerland models power restriction

On the subject of throttle action being limited I guess the way to check is to pop the airbox rubbers off the throttle bodies & see if the throttle butterflies open fully.

Thanks for that- fair point I suppose. Something to look forward to when I come from sea!
All joking aside, it would nice if it is something as simple as that- if it is I'll let you (and everyone else) know- wont be for a while yet though, still six weeks at sea to go first!

I am looking forward to your reply and what you find because I too bought a 87 DFi from Switzerland

There are plates in the throttle body between the injectors and the intake, that look restrictive for the fuel. Part 13169-1744. I am missing one so trying to work out what their mission is before I put them back or or leave them out? They are a brass plate with two arms that slide into the injector aperture under the nozzle, blocking about 80% of the hole. 

If it's blocking fuel flow..
I'd remove and see what happens!
..but you might want to install a kill switch tether so you don't whiskey throttle?

Yes am leaving them out. Got some feedback from a facebook z1300 group saying the same, but not a lot of information on them.
