Hope this is helpful

Just a warning - I have installed Electrex stator and Shindengen FH020AA MOSFET regulator rectifier from an BMW S1000R from a breakers yard. My warning is that almost all of the Shindengen reg-rects on evil bay are knock off clones. I know this because I bought one and it was putting 17 volts to my battery. A bit of research and I found that none of the clones mimic the exact cooling fin shape and configuration of the Shindengen RR - but they all claim to be Shindengen! I suspect all of the ebay clones to be dangerous

Yes - I would support your warning - there is a good description on YouTube on how to spot the poor quality imitations. There is no such thing as an inexpensive Shindengen - if it's cheap, it's a fake.

I was quoting someone else but I have found these to be excellent quality. However, it will still suffer from the poor design of the original shunt reg/rect and 3 pin connector.

The best I have found so far is the Electrex - with the fly leads connected to the windings in the same way as the original fit unit. I've had 3 failed Lin Sheng units - the stator temperature was high enough to melt the solder connecting the fly leads to the connector terminals.

My solution for my 80A's stator eating, is the SH847.

I have a N.I.B. Shindengen FH020AA for sale. Ordered by mistake ! Regulator only. $65.00us plus shipping.

If connector plugs are required they're available from "Roadstercycles" for $19.95 plus $3.00 S&H"
