Hi Guys. Just in the process of refurbing my cylinder head. I haven't ported it other than removing some of the bigger lumps of casting flash just to even things out a little. But looking at the water passages, one side (3 cylinders), is distinctly more open than the other. Should I even this out too? or leave well alone?
It looks very tempting...
Thanks.

As my old boss many years ago used to say "if it's not broken, don't try and fix it"

If you do attempt to do any work on the coolant passages be very carful not to open them up past the sealing area of the gasket or you will be
SOL on your head (just my thoughts on it I'd leave the water jackets alone)

Almost looks like a machining burr (rather than casting flash) ??

Thanks for your thoughts. If I did anything I would go extremely carefully for sure.
It does look like a machining burr. I took another couple of pics at a better angle. The flashing seems to be about 6 or 7mm deep, then opens out in to the water passages.

Using an old gasket as a template, I’d be inclined to cut some of it away.
