Hi Guys I have just purchased a new z-11 tensioner from Z-power UK ,and on inspection find that there is a small rod included in the kit . Its about 4mm dia by 60 mm long. I thought it may be either to fit inside the spring to ,A -stop it collapsing sideways under comprression ,or B- to act as a stop in case of the rachet jumping and kicking back . Anyone know what its for ???

"A" for your answer, also it's recommended to trim the spring to not make it as strong for the 1300, pretty sure there is a thread here somewhere about how much to cut off, I think it was 10mm, but it's been a while since I did it so i'm not sure

Hi Dion zzr11/zx11 are the same i have read a lot on this forum about tensioners i have a new zzr11 tensioner which you can buy local and then cut 10mm of the spring .From what i have seen and read my option is to modify the original by drilling the end and putting a 6mm bolt and lock nut so you can tell when the cam chain tensioner shaft is getting to the end of its stroke and put a longer bolt and nut in where you lock the tensioner for assembly that turns it to a manual tensioner so it cant back out .
