Thank you ill post more photos when i get time the shim is below minimum available and they ground the size of it off it measures 1.91mm thick i have the head at the person that rebuilds the cylinder heads for my workshop

Now I understand why you pulled the head. The valves and seats were worn beyond service limits and that's why the previous owner ground the shim and I'll assume that's when you found bent valves? Good call pulling the head.I'll be curious to hear if your machine shop will be replacing the valve seats and if so where he got the seats supplied from.. I'll assume new valves will also be required and again the source for those and price if and when you get a chance.

There are valves available from Germany listed on the bay of fleas. Item No. 391695163288
I am in no way an engineer so I would value your opinion of them Kawboy.

Thanks guys for the reply looks like a full set of valves and i want to replace the plastic idler gear .I was until to day going to split the cases but i brought another z1300 1982 done 78000 ks new Zealand new photos to follow .I will refit the head and i got a really good radiator off ebay for 40 us dollars my one was badly bent and see how it goes ive had it six months and havent been able to ride it :( I will let you know about the seats KB . :)and thanks again for the help.
