He charged me $15 shipping from NJ to NY? I didn't realize when I paid he was sooo close to where I live. If I knew at the time I would of said something. I hate getting price gouged with the shipping fees.

OK. Status update. I've got the gear installed. It's a little noisy, but, I can easily live with it, just knowing that it will probably outlast the motor.I used the Cometic head and base gaskets, no issues there either. I just sprayed a little coppercoat sealant on the head gasket, and 800 miles later, everything is just fine. :)

No
you only need to take the head off.

dont drop the little rubber pads on the tensioner wheel down the hole..
