Hey scotch. If your 'T' refers to Trudeau, I'd agree! hahaha But about that later.
I think you have few mistakes there. Canada responded way later than the USA. In the USA flights and travels were being canceled. The WH0 (world health organization) was making international warnings. What was doing Canada under Trudeau 'leadership'? Waiting, flying planes in. No restrictions whatsoever. I do remember it very correctly, as I was discussing it with people and my parents. We were outraged by the negligence of the 'leadership'. But what can you expect? When did the news about the pandemic started coming? USA had cases earlier, reacted earlier. Canada was still waiting. For a very long time, weeks. While there were restrictions in place in the USA, Canada was still slacking. And I do remember this! Then some lightweight action.
What Trudeau was doing in the meantime? Here for your education, and my amusement. February 6 - 10: Trudeau in Ethiopia, pitching for his future hopeful place in the UN. Giving away money, as usual. February 11 - Kuwait. February 11 - 14: Senegal. February 14, Germany!!!! But wait - Sophie Trudeau, his wife, was in the UK on a speaking engagement on March 12! That's about 2 weeks ago! I have no idea what kind of stupid has been making the response in the UK, but apparently the Trudeau's had other things on their agenda a than taking care of the Canadians during this pandemic. And I remember that very well too, because people to whom I spoke were outraged. Canada's 'leader' was absent from the country touring Africa! Trudeau announced travel ban for anything non-essential I think on March 18. Coincidence with his wife's testing positive just days before? 0r was he simply oblivious and negligent until this? A true leader? What a joke.
I watched TV and the worse of the places at it, CNN, and Trumps face was there almost every day. Speaking, having his team in front of the cameras, scientists expressing their opinions. They not just spoke, but answered questions. Trump always lets being asked questions. And Trudeau? Whenever that happens, and it's a rare event, his answers contain pretty much zero substance. Deflecting any concrete information, staying away from the subject. Just general 'uh ah'. Very insulting.
Simply put, no matter what Trump does or says, in the eyes of the 'non deplorables', aka. democrats, he was, is, and always will be in the wrong. He can't win! You mentioned impeachment. That was one of the idiotic circuses thrown at him until February 2. You have to be blind or unwell not to see that they tried to impeach him from even before he won the election. What happened to Stormy Daniels, and all the other reliable women he supposingly grabbed by the you know what? Where are they? Even better, where is the one time star character and even possible presidential candidate Mr. Avenatti? Hahaha That's a good one.
Anyway. In Canada, 0ntario seems to be the most serious place in response to this virus. BC has been no surprise one of the last putting any restrictions. And still the whole country seems not be that serious. Construction workers take public buses, trains, rub shoulders on work side, handle tools and materials to each other. You think it's possible to wash hands every time? You think it's hazardous and puts workers kids, parents, tenants at work site when entering their apartments at risk? Risk of infecting others in every possible way and direction? Do you think that's taking care of the pandemic? I've said it before. Did you pay attention when reading it? But nah, the 'leader' want enforce temporary, be it for 2-4 weeks, shut down. Because money is more important.
Trudeau coherent? At bullshit and self catering yes. At saying, reading, a bunch of slogans and big statements, mostly deflecting from any direct information connecting to a problem. At leading a country, taking care of the future of Canadians - nope. He's a mediocre drama teacher without any experience in politics, economics, war, and so on, who was is son and a trust baby of a once a Prime Minister father.
What you wrote scotch about Trump is what I've heard many times, from the 'good people', not deplorables like me. It's a mantra, a broken record with nothing new. Pathological liar, narcissistic, and so on. Like a hypocrite. That sure describes Trudeau! But no, he's just honesty and sweetness like Mother Theresa. Especially vacationing on a private billionaire's island flying there on his private helicopter, giving away millions of taxpayers money to his foundation. That's just peachy for a 'real' leader.
You are a proud Canadian. Why did you have to mention this? Can't take the heat and become offended? Are we children or grown man? haha 0r perhaps I'm not that good at English yet and can't think straight. In the tradition of discouraging constructive criticism, in the name of openness, freedom to speak and express yourself, or is having an opinion not welcomed in the not communist/socialist democratic Canada? I hope you didn't suggest I am not a proud Canadian. And I hope you suggest others being a second class citizen with less rights. I just don't agree with and dislike very, very much how Canada is governed. Perhaps you are coming from being lucky to have the sheltered life so far indeed. I'd suggest trying to put yourself in others shoes and look at thinks from their perspective. Because many of Canadian citizens can't buy a house like you could 40 years ago, and we have no inheritance coming from parents.
Trudeau gave away taxpayers money to dozens places around the world. The money needed in Canada to take care of Canadians. After giving away billions, he announced in June 2019 that Canada will give away to foreign countries another $1.4 billion of taxpayers money. There was were millions to muslims in Myanmar, for women's empowerment here and there, for equality, children, and so on. I am sure we could use it here, in Canada! I'm not sure if he is actually trying to destroy the country.
With this virus, I observed so many arrogant smart ass self righteous guys and gals have difficulty handling it, and can't put logically a few things together. I have a friend in Seattle who insists they have a Hitler in the White house! hahaha And I always thought he is intelligent. Whatever the propaganda says, whatever you think Russia etc. say about USA, trust me, I know what they think about Canada. I mean where Canada is after the 50 years, and where it's going. And what they think about the 'leader, who is a schmuck in my opinion. Trump a pathological liar, hahahah All politicians are! You can't win there without bullshitting!

Not sure where this came from, how this fits into this discussion, and at whom did you direct this. It reminds me of the ignorant lazy self centered mind's 'shut up, stop complaining or get the F out of here' attitude in Vancouver. Just wondering. But I know some people's ego's are so fragile, their bubble so leathery tough, that they panic at even a possibility of an alternative word. It would question their little crafted head space, and by definition, by them, it can't be questioned!
I just want to remind you, that I have the right to say my opinion about Canada and can do it as loud as I want.About that above quote, feel free to elaborate. I'm not easily offended.
