Good to hear you have it under control. Don't forget to back up the site before transferring it but you probably already know that ;)

I'm torn. My internet security program protects my machine but I'm concerned that others may not be protected. I'm thinking about taking the site down for a few days, until everything's put right.

When I had the forum I was using an invision forum, well made and secure, and I could always ask for their tech support to fix major problems invisionpower.com/ , most other forums can be converted over to the invision without loss, of course it costs to go with that, if needed I would donate to help, just a thought, the only reason I mention this is because i'd hate to see any loss of the info on this site due to hacking etc
after tuesday even the calendar goes WTF

Pete,
I'm careful to keep the site backed up.

Hi Bill
i dont know if you got the mail i sent through regarding the site been hit with some virus or other
it caused a issue with my computer(sorted now) and i see the warning has been taken off the internet listing for your site!
so assuming everything has been fixed now , GREAT
i saw your comment about my KZ experience or Z as it is in NZ.
sad to say have not got mine running yet have (much to my wifes dismay) been chasing parts on the net, your site i found invaluable regards what direction to go with issues i had not been aware of let alone the ones i knew my bike did have.
im happy to give you some of background regards NZ though i left in 88 and only returned 3 years ago on a promise to my wife id leave the bikes alone until we had a fully finished house and our life sorted.
so havent ridden here since been back but atleast have started on the bikes(actually 3 of them KZ1300,DUC 900SS, 996S)
996 is the closest to getting Vinned in NZ but due to paper issues her it may not happen,900ss will once 996 is fully MECHANICALLY sorted be next, the KZ will i think be a long slow process, it is booked to go into (Western Bay Auto Electrics) end of the month, will let them deal with the electrical issues(Rob Have you herd of them?)
all past experience with riding the Z1300 was as a Warrant of Fitness inspector and the bike i used to sneak rides on when i was 15/16 yrs old i did get to take a 1300 for a spin whilst living in England.
regards Dion

tracked some 25x25 box section to re fabricate the the tail mounts all cut off, but havent got any gas to run the welder sorted yet
presently working on 996s , was a repairable write off
